This beachside retreat, crafted for a treasured repeat client, embraces a lifestyle of simplicity and adventure. With expansive ocean views framed by large windows that act as art themselves, the home is designed to feel as welcoming and open as the horizon beyond. The client, eager to downsize and enjoy a more travel-friendly life, envisioned a space that’s casual, comfortable, and inviting. Using a neutral palette with select pops of color, we achieved a relaxing, sophisticated home that feels effortlessly chic.

To anchor this aesthetic, in the kitchen I designed cabinetry that has an organic feel and paired it with a classic style countertop, and hood. The eat-in banquette, framed by two large windows, offers the charm of dining in nature, bringing the outdoors in. Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a contemporary yet classic feel with the oversized abstract art and light green velvet chairs. Statement art pieces adorn the entry, living space, and stairwell, creating visual continuity and interest. Vintage rugs throughout the home add character; and every detail, from custom window treatments and flooring, to the beautifully crafted staircase, contributes to a rejuvenating space that perfectly fits the client’s lifestyle and love for travel.
